I started this one ages ago.
i might edit it sometime later.
but here angel dear for you.

Impulse
A sudden wish or urge that prompts an unpremeditated act or feeling; an abrupt inclination

It was a streak of madness that made him employ her. It was the only explanation that he could find that would explain his actions. That or she had cast a spell on him and being a successful businessman, Arien refused to believe the latter. He would visit his doctor tomorrow and have a body check up; there was something very wrong with him. With that reassuring thought in his head, (after all there really was nothing that the doctor could not cure) Arien closed his eyes and thought back to when this nightmare had started.

It had been a very slow day that Tuesday when she walked in for an interview to take up the position of his personal assistant. Not only had she kept him waiting for five minutes, she strolled into his office entirely unapologetic about being late. Settling herself down on the chair opposite his, she stared straight into the depths of his stormy grey eyes and smiled. Narrowing his eyes at her, Arien consulted his list which told him that her name was Alexandra.
He went through the motions of any normal interview, with the mindset not to hire her . Her answers were nothing out of the ordinary; in fact nothing about her was out of the ordinary. Dressed in a black suit, her legs were clothed with transparent black or was it dark brown stockings. Her feet were fitted into a pair of strappy high heel shoes. So what was it that made him hire her? It was that damned last question that he asked.

“What can you offer our company that you think the rest can’t” Arien asked, entirely prepared for a commentary of her list of abilities that really everyone had. He had interviewed at least ten people before her, her last answer was what got her the job. Alex had looked him straight in the eye and replied calmly, “it’s not what I can offer your company sir, it’s what can your company offer me.” He stared at her shell shocked, lost for words. He admired her courage but it was more than that, she intrigued him and he couldn’t help himself. To him she was a mystery, and he wanted to be the one to solve it.

These kinds of decisions were the kind that got you killed. And she seemed to be doing a remarkable job of trying to kill him. She defied almost every one of his instructions as and when she could. If he didn’t want to see this client, funnily that client’s name appeared on his schedule of meetings for that day. When he questioned her about it, she always had a perfectly reasonable explanation either that or she twisted his words to suit her needs. And since you need a reason to fire someone, and he could not for the life of him find one, he was stuck with her.

“Sir” a voice cut through his thoughts and he opened his eyes to see the subject of his thought standing in front of him. “Your schedule for today and these are the files you wanted.” She was about to walk out of the office, when he called her back. “You intrigue me. Did I ever tell you that?” Arien asked. Alex looked back at him and replied “your problem sir, is that you want everything to be in your control you need to,” She leaned across the desk her lips next to his ear and whispered the rest of what she wanted to tell him. Satisfied at his shocked expression, Alex left the room. “Leave him to get over his shock and work on it” she thought to herself.

That was the second time; she had done that to him. He wasn’t going to let her get away with it again. She wanted something that would shock her. Well he was about to give her that. In two strides, he was out of his office he grabbed her by the arm and slammed her against the wall.. Leaning down, he kissed her very gently and looked up at her shocked expression and repeated exactly what she had told him. Act on an impulse, take a risk. Dive straight into the deep end. It might surprise you.

Staring at his retreating figure, her thoughts were jumbled. She had not expected that at all. She could shoot herself. Honestly. But then again, it wasn't like she didn’t like it was it.

i thought of it in the middle of class. (:
and never got round to completing it until recently.
one down two more to go.
